Meet James Dooley

James Dooley is a Catholic theology teacher, strength coach, and former Jesuit seminarian based in Miami.

After years of mentoring young men, he recognized a deeper issue: most Catholic men were never taught how to date well. Date Differently was born out of that need.

James studied philosophy at the College of the Holy Cross and earned a master’s degree in education from the University of Notre Dame.

He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and brings together years of experience in spiritual formation, coaching, and Catholic masculinity.

His work bridges the gap between John Paul II’s Theology of the Body and the real-world challenges men face in modern relationships.

He’s also a husband and father of one, passionate about helping men date with clarity, confidence, and virtue.

This isn’t a feel-good self-help book, it’s a challenge to step up, lead with virtue, and pursue dating with purpose and masculine clarity.
